We are talking about a solution called Arctic Sound-M. And it is based on the GPU DG2 (Xe-HPG). This is the same GPU with 512 compute units that will be the basis of the top Arc Alchemist gaming graphics card.

Intel revealed little details. The company is talking about a hardware encoder for the AV1 codec and some kind of the industry’s only open source multimedia solution.

The images make it clear that this is definitely not a consumer solution, as you can see a single-slot passive cooling system focused on active rack ventilation.

Arctic Sound-M cards will become available to customers in the middle of this year.
