The first test of Intel Core 11xxxB processors appeared on the web, which were unexpectedly presented a couple of weeks ago. Recall that these are the same 10-nanometer desktop CPUs that Intel previously talked about for many years, but which it has not been able to release until now.
Topping the lineup is the Core i9-11900KB, and it was he who was tested. So far only in 3DMark, but it’s better than nothing.

So, in FireStrike he scored 25,571 points (Phisics Score), and in Time Spy – 10,872 points. For comparison, the Rocket Lake generation Core i9-11900 scores around 25,260 and 11,064 points, respectively. That is, the results are very similar.
Is this good or bad? The processors are almost identical in their parameters and even their TDP does not differ (65 W), so I would like to see a better result from the Core i9-11900KB. But here it is worth noting that the novelty was probably tested as part of the upcoming NUC mini-PC, which means that it probably had significantly less efficient cooling.
Also, 3DMark as a whole is far from the best test for processors, so it’s too early to draw final conclusions.
In addition, do not forget that the Core i9-11900KB and its brothers in the line are desktop CPUs only in terms of positioning. In fact, these are the same mobile Tiger Lake-H, only with increased power limits.
