Intel has announced the Intel NUC 11 Extreme Modular Desktop PC, codenamed Beast Canyon, to provide “phenomenal gaming, streaming and recording experiences.”
The Intel NUC 11 Extreme Mini PC is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors. The description of the new item mentions support for full-size discrete video cards and a rich set of I / O ports. All components of the system are enclosed in an 8 liter housing.
In its maximum configuration, the NUC 11 Extreme includes an eight-core Intel Core i9 processor clocked at up to 5.0GHz and 64GB of RAM. There are four M.2 slots for storage. The equipment includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 2.5GbE network port, a Wi-Fi 6E wireless interface.
Power is provided by an internal 650W power supply. For cooling, three 92mm fans are installed in the case. The hinged cover makes upgrades easy, and the look and feel of the system is remarkable for the interchangeable front panel logo and RGB lighting.
The first Intel NUC 11 Extreme Kits are expected to be available this quarter, with more options added before the end of the year. Prices start at $ 1,150 and $ 1,350 for kits based on Intel Core i7 and Intel Core i9, respectively.
