Intel processors will finally be able to compete on an equal footing with Ryzen 5000 in laptops. 45 watt Tiger Lake-H octa-cores coming out on May 11

While Intel keeps an official silence regarding 45-watt Tiger Lake-H processors (previously the company only promised their soon announcement), Asus is not trifling and announces the date of the premiere of its laptops based on these CPUs. The announcement will take place on May 11. It is logical that on the same day Intel will officially declassify Tiger Lake-H45.

After the release of this line, Intel processors will finally be able to fully compete with the Ryzen 5000 – so far, the 4-core Tiger Lake-H35 has nothing to oppose the 6- and 8-core representatives of the Ryzen 5000 series. But in the Tiger Lake-H45 line there will be only 6- and 8-core models, three each and the other. The former are Core i5-11260H, Core i5-11400H and Core i7-11600H, while the latter are Core i7-11800H, Core i9-11900H and Core i9-11980HK. The latter – with support for overclocking and a maximum frequency of 5.0 GHz in Turbo mode. True, the TDP Core i9-11980HK will go beyond 45 W – it will reach 65 W.
