One owner of a brand new Samsung laptop with the Arc A350M found that disabling Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology resulted in a huge performance boost. We are talking about 100%, and sometimes more!

Dynamic Tuning Technology is an analogue of AMD SmartShift and Nvidia Dynamic Boost, that is, this technology is responsible for distributing power between the CPU and GPU to optimize power consumption. Apparently, now this function does not work optimally, cutting the power limit very much. Moreover, if you carefully look at the screenshots, it becomes clear that the limits are being cut for the CPU, and not for the GPU. With DTT disabled, the processor starts to work at much higher frequencies, however, at the same time consuming more power and heating up more. More tests are needed to fully understand the problem. In addition, it is advisable to conduct them on different laptops in order to understand where the problem comes from.

In any case, this is very good news for both Intel and consumers for now, as it is likely that the Arc graphics cards are potentially much more powerful than all previous tests showed. Of course, it’s more correct to talk about the greater performance of the entire system, and not specifically the video card, but in general, the more important thing is that as a result, users will receive a much faster gaming platform.
