Intel Xe-HPG DG2 graphics card with 3584 stream processors showed performance at the level of GeForce RTX 3070. But there is a nuance

The web has already featured images of the Intel Xe-HPG DG2 video card – a full-fledged gaming model, and now performance data has appeared on the web. So, according to an insider, in one of the tests Intel Xe-HPG DG2 in a configuration with 448 execution units and, accordingly, 3584 stream processors, showed 92% of the performance of the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 3D card. At the same time, the performance of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 was 97% of the result of the AMD video card.

Intel Xe-HPG DG2 graphics card with 3584 stream processors showed performance at the level of GeForce RTX 3070. But there is a nuance

This is interesting data pointing to the capabilities of the Intel Xe-HPG DG2. True, a number of points must be taken into account here. First, it is not clear what kind of test (or set of tests?) Are we talking about. When it comes to gaming, we know that some are better suited to AMD graphics cards, others to Nvidia. And with an Intel 3D card, it could be the same story. Secondly, a version with 448 execution units was tested, while in the lineup, according to rumors, there will be a version with 512 execution units – and such a video card should be faster than both the Radeon RX 6700 XT and the GeForce RTX 3070.

Interestingly, the other version of the Xe-HPG DG2 tested in the same conditions, with 128 execution units, turned out to be faster than the GeForce GTX 1650. Considering that now a lot of gaming notebook models are equipped with the GeForce GTX 1650, the base Xe-HPG DG2 can become the model of choice for entry-level gaming laptops.
