Intel’s latest six-core CPU lags behind Ryzen 5 3600X in multi-threading mode, and Ryzen 5 5600X is far ahead

Intel previously confirmed that Rocket Lake processors will ship before the end of the first quarter. Older models have already flashed on the Web, and now the CPU Core i5-11400 has appeared in the Geekbench database.

This is a six-core model with Hyper-Threading support and frequencies of 2.6-4.4 GHz, but the frequencies of the production sample may be slightly higher. In the test, the novelty is gaining 1247 and 6197 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively.

In the first case, it is 12% more than that of the Core i5-10400, in the second – by 9%. Compared to AMD processors, in single-threaded mode, the result is almost identical to the Ryzen 5 3600X, but in multi-threaded mode, the latter is 11% faster with the same number of cores. As for the new Ryzen 5 5600X, it is out of reach for the new product: 1605 and 8100 points, respectively.
