Intense cold continues in the South of Brazil this Friday (12); see minimums

The advance of an intense cold front has caused sharp drops in temperatures in the southern region of Brazil this week. According to Climatempo, the weather is expected to remain cold in the region this Friday (12).

Porto Alegre, the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, will have temperatures ranging between 8°C and 13°C. In Canoas, also in Rio Grande do Sul, minimum temperatures are expected to reach 7°C, with maximum temperatures reaching 12°C.

Florianópolis, capital of Santa Catarina, will have a minimum of 12°C and a maximum of 15°C. Joinville is expected to record temperatures between 12°C and 16°C.

The capital of Paraná, Curitiba, will see temperatures between 9°C and 14°C, while in Londrina, in the north of the state, temperatures will vary from 14°C to 23°C.

The cold wave that is affecting part of the country has caused severe frost in Santa Catarina.

The city of Bom Jardim da Serra, in the southern region of the state, recorded a thermal sensation of -26.9°C at around 5 am this Thursday (11).

For Friday (12), the city is expected to have a minimum of 1°C and a maximum of 8°C.
