The intense cold should hit the southern region this weekend, with heavy rains, thunderstorms, gusts of wind and hail, according to forecast by the National Meteorological Institute (Inmet).
On Saturday (6), there is forecast of frost in the south of Santa Catarina and in Rio Grande do Sul during the dawn. The minimum temperatures foreseen are between 1ºC and 4ºC.
Until the end of Sunday (7), the rain can exceed 100 millimeters in the north of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and in the south and southwest of Paraná.
On Monday (8), areas of instability will bring more storms to the South and Mato Grosso do Sul. There should still be a drop in temperature in Rondônia, Mato Grosso and São Paulo. The panorama will be maintained on Tuesday (9).
There is a possibility of snowfall, in Serra Catarinense, during Wednesday (10). Strong winds, which can exceed 80 km/h, will be felt on the coast of the South region and São Paulo.
There is still the possibility of rain in areas of Goiás and the Federal District, where the drought has already exceeded 80 days.
