Intense reactions to Germany after the expulsion of Afghans being hospitalized in mental health structure

Intense reactions in southern Germany is the deportation of three Afghans hospitalized in a mental health unit. The three men, who faced charges of criminal offenses, were deported to Kabul by a repatriation flight departing from Leipzig with 78 people. The Bavarian government defends the decision. “The Bavarian immigration authorities always comply with the law when they are deported and this is true of the Charter flight to Afghanistan,” Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herman said on Thursday. “The flight was made to deport the perpetrators of serious crimes who had decided to leave the country,” he continued. “They are persons who were a major threat to the country’s internal security.” According to Joachim Herman, the law “requires such criminals to move away from the country with compliance with the rules of German and European law”.
