Inter&Co, owner of the Inter bank, announced this Tuesday (7) the purchase of the YellowFi real estate credit and fund management platform, as part of the plan to expand its operation in the United States. The value of the operation was not disclosed.
“The acquisition of YellowFi will accelerate Inter’s goal of expanding the solutions offered to customers who want to save, transact and invest in the United States, allowing them to invest in the US real estate sector through the fund managed by YellowFi”, said the company in its announcement to the market.
The note also says that the company hired Cassio Segura, former president of Banco do Brasil Americas (BB Americas), “to supervise and expand the business”.
Listed on Nasdaq, Inter reports having one million accounts and more than $100 million in deposits and investments from Brazilian clients in the United States.
“This transaction demonstrates Inter’s inorganic growth strategy and the expansion of products offered to our customer base, which continues to grow. We are adding complementary capabilities that have a minimal impact on capital and that can be easily connected to our ecosystem, in addition to contributing talent and product experience”, says João Vitor Menin, CEO of Inter&Co.
