Spotify’s CEO shared a post on his social media increase in searches for French music on the platform after the start of the Paris Olympic Games .
“Amazing to see so many people discovering French music on Spotify after some incredible musical performances at the Olympic Opening Ceremony,” Daniel Ek wrote on his X profile, formerly Twitter.

According to him, the song sung by Céline Dion, “L’Hymne à l’Amour”, by Édith Piaf, had a 320% increase in reproductions on Saturday (27), one day after the opening ceremony.
Singer Céline Dion also saw an increase in searches overall, with a 65% increase in France and 35% globally.
Additionally, French heavy metal band Gojira — the first heavy metal band to perform at an Olympic opening ceremony — has gained more than 300,000 followers on Spotify since Friday (26).
