The number of international flight arrivals to Brazil in August this year was the highest ever recorded since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion (Embratur), only last month there were 4,003 arrivals, which represents 80.71% of the capacity demonstrated in 2019.
Compared to August 2021, it was recorded 232.35% in international connectivity.
Until July 2022, the international air network maintained an upward trend, above 70% of 2019 capacity, but had not yet surpassed 80%.
Embratur expects to recover 100% of connectivity by 2022.
For this, the agency has held meetings with airlines and is expected to have 134 new flights and additional frequencies by February 2023.
