International flights to and from Damascus International Airport will resume on Tuesday, January 7, following a suspension of services since the rebels seized power in December. “We are announcing the resumption of international flights to and from Damascus International Airport from next Tuesday,” the head of the Civil Aviation and Air Transport Agency, Ashad al-Salibi, said today, according to the Sana news agency. “We assure the international and Arab airlines that we have completed the rehabilitation phase of Aleppo and Damascus airports with the help of our partners, so that they can receive aircraft from all over the world,” he added.
