The second season of “Interview with a Vampire” arrives on streaming this Monday (22). The series is an adaptation of the literary classic of the same name written by the North American author Anna Rice and released in 1976. A film version of the work, with the actors Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise was released in 1994.
The series “Interview with a Vampire” is from the North American television channel AMC and arrives in Brazil through the streaming service Prime Video . The first season premiered in 2022 and is also part of the Amazon platform’s catalog.
The plot of the second season continues to follow the main character Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), who tells the story of his life to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian), recalling the bloody events that took place in New Orleans in the 1940s.
Among the stories, Louis tells of his adventures alongside Claudia (Delainey Hayles) in Europe, on a mission to discover the vampires of the Old World. On the journey, they come across a theater run by vampires known as Theatre Des Vampires.
The new season also includes the period in which he fell in love with the vampire Armand (Assad Zaman), in Paris. Together they live a love affair with devastating consequences, both in the past and in the future.
The new episodes of “Interview with the Vampire” are executive produced by Mark Johnson (“The Rejects”), along with Christopher Rice, son of Anne Rice.
Anne Rice passed away in late 2021 at the age of 80 due to complications resulting from a stroke.
The first season and the 1994 film are available on Prime Video.
