Intracom Defense participated in a NATO exercise

Intracom Defense (IDE) participated with the latest version of the HEPS® HGT20K Hybrid Generator in NATO’s STEADFAST LEDA 2021 exercise (November 21-30, Poland), which aimed to increase the interoperability and operational efficiency of Allied troops.

According to the company, IDE responded to the invitation received from NATO Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (HQ) and the British Army to support the testing of advanced hybrid solutions in the field. The aim was to maximize the efficient use of electricity and to determine sustainable options, while achieving a reduction in the acoustic and thermal footprint of the regular headquarters.

The IDE HGT20K three-phase Hybrid Generator provided uninterruptible power to critical headquarters installations, achieving true quiet operation at 45% of total operating time and 60% fuel savings compared to conventional generators.

Throughout the exercise, IDE and Marshall Land Systems staff provided field support, leveraging their expertise in regular hybrid power systems and maintaining operational capabilities, the statement said.

It is noted that the product line of IDE HEPS® Hybrid Electric Power Systems is a complete family of advanced solutions, which includes Hybrid Generators, Hybridization Systems, High Capacity Energy Storage Systems and Hybrid Power Supply Systems as well as Power Auxiliary Capacity user for a variety of military applications (regular field systems, weapons systems, facilities – infrastructure, armored vehicles).
