Intracom Telecom implements a ‘Smart City’ project in the Municipality of Egaleo

Intracom Telecom, an international provider of telecommunications systems and solutions, undertook a “Smart City” project using IoT technologies in order to upgrade and improve the experience of citizens and optimize the operations of the Municipality of Egaleo. The implementation of the project is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2022.

The Municipality has selected Intracom Telecom and the integrated uiTOP ™ orchestration platform for monitoring and managing Smart City infrastructures and applications, which include WiFi network, innovative air quality and noise level recording system as well as wifio ™ Crow solution avoid crowding in the Egaleo Grove (Baroutadiko). All the above information is available to citizens in the form of multimedia content, while the services of the Municipality have access through the platform.

For the communication of the sensors with the uiTOP πλα platform, which has been developed entirely by Greek engineers of the company, a LoRaWAN Network has been designed and will be implemented by Intracom Telecom, which has the ability to support other applications of “Smart City” “and will be the property of the Municipality of Egaleo.
