The Chinese company GAC has unveiled a new electric crossover, which is called the GAC Aion Y. This is the company’s third electric car, the Aion S sedan and the Aion V large SUV were previously released.
The new GAC Aion Y has dimensions of 4410 x 1870 x 1645 mm, and the wheelbase is 2750 mm. The manufacturer compares its crossover in terms of dimensions to the Volvo XC40. The car received orange inserts on the body and wheels, unusual head optics, wide wheel arches with plastic linings, hidden door handles and original wheels.
The interior uses a digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch multimedia system. The GAC Aion Y electric car supports fifth-generation mobile networks, and is also able to recognize users by faces, adjusting the interface taking into account previously saved settings.
The car also offers a variety of driver assistance systems, including frontal collision warning, active braking assist, lane keep assist, driver monitoring, adaptive cruise control, intelligent high beam and traffic sign recognition. Among the options there are all-round cameras, a panoramic roof, electric front seats.
The power of the electric motor is 136 hp, the torque is 350 Nm. The basic version has a 60 kWh battery, the older one is equipped with an 80 kWh battery. The power reserve is 410 and 600 km, respectively.
