The camera uses a 10.2MP full-frame Exmor R back-illuminated image sensor and a Bionz XR image processor. The advantages of the novelty include high light sensitivity (ISO 80-102 400, expandable to ISO 409 600) and a wide dynamic range (more than 15 stops).
