Storage component manufacturer Sabrent has unveiled its new external solid state drive (SSD) dubbed the Rocket XTRM-Q. This is no ordinary external SSD, however, as the Rocket XTRM-Q offers a whopping 16 TB of storage space.

The Sabrent Rocket XTRM-Q is actually equipped with two 8TB NVMe SSDs. The dimensions of the device are not too large, as shown in the photo, and are 114.3 x 65 x 17.2 mm. The body of the drive is made of aluminum alloy, which not only gives the device strength, but also helps to dissipate heat. The top has a rubber cover for extra protection.
Each 8TB drive inside the drive can start individually, or you can run them in RAID 0 mode for a total of 16TB of storage. In RAID 0 mode, the disk speed will double to 2800 MB / s. For these speeds, a reasonably fast interface is required. For this Sabrent Rocket XTRM -Q comes with Intel Thunderbolt 3 support. A Thunderbolt cable is included with the power adapter.

The Sabrent Rocket XTRM-Q 16TB is available for $ 2,900 on Amazon in the US.
