TCL today hosted a conference where it unveiled its flagship smart TV dubbed the TCL X12 8K Mini LED Starlight Smart Screen.
The manufacturer calls the new product the thinnest Mini LED TV, and also claims that it uses OD Zero Mini LED technology. The distance between the backlight and the screen in conventional LED TVs is about 20-30 mm. OD Zero Mini technology achieves “zero distance”. As a result, the thickness of the case was kept within 10 mm.
The diagonal of the 8K screen is 85 inches, while the declared price is about $ 1,500. TCL X12 8K Mini LED Starlight Smart Screen equipped with 96,000 LEDs with brightness up to 2,000 cd / m22, the contrast ratio is 10,000,000: 1. The TV uses Quantum Dot Pro technology, the panel covers 157% of the BT.709 color space.
The TCL X12 8K Mini LED Starlight Smart Screen features a theater-grade Onkyo 5.1.2 Hi-Fi audio system with 25 speakers and a 7-liter subwoofer. The amount of RAM and flash memory is 4 and 128 GB, respectively. The TV received Wi-Fi 6 and NFC modules.
