MediaTek has unveiled the 6nm Dimensity 900 SoC, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, 120Hz displays and 108MP main camera. Already on these grounds, it is clear that the new SoC is intended for high-end smartphones.

The key element of the SoC is an eight-core processor consisting of two Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2 GHz. The memory controller supports LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1. The SoC configuration also includes an Arm Mali-G68 MC4 GPU and a third-generation AI processor, according to MediaTek, featuring extremely high energy efficiency and support for a wide range of AI applications. The built-in 5G New Radio (NR) modem, operating up to 6 GHz, supports carrier aggregation and bandwidth up to 120 MHz. Built-in image signal processor MediaTek Imagiq 5.0 supports HDR and 4K HDR video recording with hardware acceleration. It can work with four cameras at the same time and sensors with a resolution of up to 108 megapixels. Using Dimensity 900, it is possible to realize 5G dual SIM standby, 5G SA / NSA networking, Dual SIM VoNR voice services, and 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and GNSS connectivity.
The devices based on MediaTek Dimensity 900 are expected to appear this quarter.
