Electric vehicle startup Leaf Energy already has electric bicycles and electric scooters in its lineup. Now off the Indiegogo site, the startup has launched an unusual electric off-road scooter called the Leaf D05.
The Leaf D05 electric scooter is equipped with independent front suspension, which allows riders to lean in corners as well as ride comfortably off-road or on steps. In this case, the scooter does not need to be placed on a stand, since it is independently held on three wheels. When stopping on a slope, the front wheels are automatically locked to prevent rollback.

Leaf Energy says the D05 uses a modified Bosch rear hub motor, delivering up to 1.2 kW of maximum power and 128 Nm of torque. When traveling in the city or off-road, the maximum speed is 40 km / h, and a removable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1.25 kW • h, including batteries from LG or Panasonic, provides a cruising range of up to 72.5 km. In this case, engine braking potentially increases the range through recuperation.
Hydraulic disc braking on each wheel provides “braking force 1.5 times that of a two-wheeled scooter.” Adaptive LED lighting at the front and LED rear lighting are also implemented. The scooter received a backlit LCD display and built-in Bluetooth for connecting to a smartphone, a GPS tracker, as well as a storage space for a smartphone with a USB port for charging it.
