During the Xiaomi 11T series event, the company announced that its recently announced Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tablet in China will also debut globally under the name Xiaomi Pad 5.
Unfortunately, the Pro version will not hit the international market just yet, while the standard Xiaomi Pad 5 will be offered in two versions: with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, as well as 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash storage. These versions are priced at 349 euros and 399 euros, respectively.
Xiaomi Pad 5 received an IPS screen with a diagonal of 11 inches, a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision technologies. The tablet runs MIUI for Pad based on Android 11. At the time of release, only 300 core apps are well optimized for MIUI for Pad. But by the end of the year, Xiaomi has adapted over 2,000 apps for MIUI for Pad.
Xiaomi Pad 5 is equipped with a single-chip Snapdragon 860 system, cameras with a resolution of 8 and 13 megapixels, an 8720 mAh battery with support for 33 W fast charging.
Interestingly, the Xiaomi Pad 5 for Europe comes with a 22.5W charger. If desired, you will have to purchase a 33W charger separately. The device also has four speakers and supports Xiaomi’s Smart Pen, which locks onto the side with magnets. The stylus is not included in the package.
