Invasion of Ukraine: Damage to the streets – Queues at shops and ATMs

Difficult times are going on for the citizens of Ukraine after Russian invasion. The images that make the rounds of the world freeze everyone. People with suitcases in their hands leave their possessions behind, families with young children determined to leave the country, queues outside the shops and outside the ATMs which are starting to run out.

Although in Kiev Authorities have called on citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and war sirens sound many take to the streets to get essentials.

Social media posts and photos taken by international news agencies confirm the feeling of panic and fear felt by the inhabitants of the country.

Doom prevails and on the roads where there is traffic jams for kilometers.

Pictures of queues are recorded from early in the morning at gas stations, with drivers waiting for their cars to fill up.

The general air and ground attack of Russian forces on targets in Ukraine is in full swing as of today at dawn and there are already dozens dead.

While waiting to get a ticket to get on the trains, there are still a lot of people at the Kharkiv train station.

Several citizens have already resorted to shelters located in Kharkov and Kiev in order to stay safe.

Holding suitcases and their children in hand Ukrainians leave for Poland

From the first minutes of the Russian invasion citizens leave their country to escape and take refuge in Polandwith many arriving at the usually quiet passage in the city of Medica today, carrying suitcases and being accompanied by their children.

Officials in European countries bordering Ukraine – including Romania and Slovakia – have said there is not a large influx of refugees at the moment, but local media and eyewitnesses have said pedestrian traffic is rising.

Today the queues of people waiting to enter this border town are growing, with some Ukrainians saying they are worried that the Russian army will invade their country deeply.
