Three investigated for homicide were the second phase of Operation Stone, triggered by the Public Security Bureau in partnership with the Civil Police on Wednesday (7) in Jequié, in the interior of Bahia. Two rifles, a garrucha, a sum of money and two cell phones were seized.
Investigations point out the involvement of suspects in the murder of a leading Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST), which took place in January 2018 in the city of Iramaia (BA).
In the operation, three search warrants were fulfilled in the suspects’ homes. Two people were charged for illegal possession of a firearm. The material was referred to the 9th Coorpin in Jequié (BA).
The integrated work was promoted by teams of the Special Integrated Correction Force (Force) of the SSP General Corregedoria, with support from the 9th Interior Police Coordination (Coorpin) of Jequié.
