Investigation of sexual offenses against two other monks of the monastery of debauchery

A new investigation into sexual offenses involving monks was launched by the decision of Metropolitan Tamasos Isaias, following complaints from the deposed monks of the monastery of St. Avvakum. The complaints were submitted by the monks following the synodal court’s decision to depose them. In the framework of the position expressed by Archbishop Chrysostomos regarding the investigation of all the complaints submitted and concerning priests – monks, it is expected that the same procedure that was followed in the case of the monks Nektarios, Porphyrios and Abbakum will be followed. According to “Fileleftero”, the two had allegedly denounced the deposed monks for what was happening in the monastery of St. Avvakum, which is why their environment considers that the denunciation is an act of revenge and is not based on reality.
