Investing.com: 46% of Russian investors invest in cryptocurrencies

According to a study by the Investing.com portal, investors from Russia are very fond of investing in non-traditional assets, and cryptocurrencies are one of the most popular among them.

Izvestia, which has access to the study, reports that more than half of the portfolios of Russian unqualified investors are alternative assets. These include real estate, art, antiques, and digital currencies.

Most of all, Russian investors trust gold – 47% of respondents consider this asset to be the most reliable. Cryptocurrencies are slightly less popular – 46% of respondents called them a good investment to protect their savings. Real estate came in third place (37%), followed by shares and other securities (27%).

As the head of Investing.com Russia, Anastasia Kosheleva, noted, it is cryptocurrencies that can be called a trend in 2021. The popularity of this asset has grown many times over and now investments in digital currencies have become one of the most popular among Russians.

Vladimir Ananyev, an analyst at the investment company Exante, believes that the total volume of investments in cryptocurrencies by residents of Russia can range from $ 300 billion to $ 500 billion. Moreover, the growth rate over the past year was 500%.

It was recently reported that, according to the Bank of Russia, the citizens of the Russian Federation carried out cryptocurrency transactions worth 350 billion rubles from April to October this year.
