A group of investors has submitted a $20 million offer to acquire a majority stake in the company behind cryptocurrency education platform TTM Academy.
The interlocutors of Bits.media explained that negotiations on a possible deal to purchase TTM Academy are at the initial stage and it is too early to talk about the results. If negotiations are successfully completed, this could become the largest deal of 2022 in the Russian-speaking Edtech market.
According to the report of the analytical company Smart Ranking, by the end of 2021, the market of educational technologies grew by 70% to 73 billion rubles. The fastest growing segment was the courses of additional education related to information technology.
The TTM Academy refused to confirm or deny the information, citing the fact that they do not comment on rumors. TTM Academy CEO Vladislav Utushkin said that the company “constantly receives” offers of cooperation.
TTM Academy is a Russian educational platform offering educational trainings and webinars on trading and investing in cryptocurrencies and digital assets. The company was founded in 2018, in 2021 it amounted to more than 20 million rubles. As noted on the platform website, the teachers are practitioners in the field of trading and investing in cryptocurrencies.
