Invoicing, employment and industry wages have the highest value of 2022 in June, says CNI

THE industry transformation reached the highest levels of revenue, employment, salary mass and average income of 2022 in the month of June, according to data released this Wednesday (3) by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI ).

According to the association, the results indicate a “more favorable economic environment for the industry”.

In comparison with May, the sector’s revenue rose 0.9%, while employment increased 0.4%, the salary mass, 2.4%, and the average income, 1.9%.

Still in comparison with June 2021, revenue was 0.1% lower, employment grew by 2%, wages by 2.5% and average income by 0.5%.

Comparing the first half of 2022 with the same period in 2021, revenues fell by 3.7%, and income, by 0.7%. Hours worked rose 2.6%, employment increased 2.4% and the wage bill grew 1.7%.

The CNI states that the recovery of employment and income occurs because “part of the transformation industry has managed to overcome or minimize its difficulties in relation to the supply of inputs and raw materials”.

The association highlights that, even with the decline, the indicator remains at a “high level”, with no significant variations in the year.

For the association, “the manufacturing industry still has strong bottlenecks imposed on the expansion of production, but as economic activity recovers, it also allows the industry to reap gradual advances”.
