IOBE records a marginal deterioration in the economic climate and improvement of consumer confidence in the “Bulletin of Developments in Industry” for February.
In particular, the economic climate index stood at 114 points in February compared to 114.2 points in the previous month and 91.7 points a year earlier.
At the same time, the consumer confidence index strengthened in February and stood at -39.5 (from -42.2) points in the previous month, slightly higher than last year (-46.2 points).
The Bulletin notes the strong growth of GDP in the fourth quarter of 2021, by 7.7%, after a recovery of 11.4% in the third quarter. Overall in 2021 the GDP growth rate reached 8.3%, compared to a decrease of 9.0% the year before.
