This blog post compares the popular Geekbench benchmark of the new iPad Pro, which is based on the Apple M1 SoC, with other Apple products.
According to the source, the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro scored 1,718 points in single-threaded mode and 7284 points in multi-core mode. In the previous news the results of 1727 and 7270 were mentioned, respectively, which indicates a small measurement error.
This time, for comparison, the test results are given for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro based on the Apple A12Z SoC, which are 1121 and 4656 points, respectively.
The following are the benchmark results in the Geekbench 5 multi-core benchmark:
- MacBook Air (Apple M1): 7378
- iPad Pro (Apple M1): 7284
- 16-inch MacBook Pro (Core i9): 6845
- iPad Pro (Apple A12Z): 4656
In terms of graphics performance, the iPad Pro’s current Metal average score on the Apple M1 is 20,578, which is 71% faster than the previous generation iPad Pro with Apple A12Z, and roughly matches the graphics performance of the Apple M1-based MacBook Air.
Recall that the new iPad Pro tablet turned out to be twice as fast as modern flagships from the Android world.
