IPC-Fipe rises 1.56% in the 1st quadrissemana of April, compared to a gain of 1.28% in March

The Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures inflation in the city of São Paulo, rose 1.56% in the first four weeks of April, accelerating from the 1.28% increase seen at the end of March.

The data were published this Monday (11) by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe).

In this month’s initial reading, all seven components of the IPC-Fipe gained strength: Housing (from 0.81% in March to 0.94% in the first four weeks of April), Food (from 2.43% to 3.01% ), Transport (from 1.68% to 2.11%), Personal Expenses (from 0.96% to 1.09%), Health (from 0.09% to 0.26%), Clothing (from 0, 76% to 0.84%) and Education (from 0.08% to 0.12%).

  • Food: 3.01%
  • Transport: 2.11%
  • Personal Expenses: 1.09%
  • Health: 0.26%
