iPhone 13 received support for two eSIMs and a slot for nano-SIM

Yesterday Apple officially announced the highly anticipated iPhone 13 series. The lineup includes four models: Apple iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Apple smartphones come with one physical SIM slot, but the company added eSIM support with the launch of the iPhone XS and XS Max. The company is now expanding this feature on the iPhone 13: all smartphones in this lineup come with dual eSIM support.

Smartphones are equipped with a slot for nano-SIM cards, and thanks to the support of two eSIMs, it is possible to use three different lines to connect to mobile networks. However, it is not yet confirmed whether the nano-SIM and two eSIMs will work at the same time and how the system actually works. We’ll have to wait for an official statement from the company.

It is also possible that some network operators may not support eSIM and may disable this feature if the device is purchased from a network operator.

Apple said during the presentation that the new iPhone 13 models now support more 5G bands, which should allow the new, faster telecom technology to be used in more countries.

IPhone 13 prices range from $ 699 for the Mini model and up to $ 1,599 for the top-end iPhone 13 Pro Max. All models in this new series will be available for pre-orders from September 17th, with shipments starting September 24th.
