Wedbush analysts, citing supply chain sources, say the iPhone 13 line of smartphones will offer users the ability to store data on a 1TB flash drive for the first time. That’s double the maximum storage capacity in the iPhone 12 line. Apple iPhone XS was the first smartphone from the company to offer 512GB of non-volatile memory.
These rumors appeared last year, as well as at the beginning of this year, but now they are confirmed by verified insiders. Financial analysts remain optimistic that Apple iPhone sales will remain strong this year.
Apple currently offers 1TB of flash storage on its iPad Pro tablets. At the same time, Apple is again lagging behind competitors from the Android camp. For example, Samsung started offering 1TB phones back in the Galaxy S10 line two years ago.
The main camera of the iPhone 13 is expected to include three 12-megapixel image sensors and a laser rangefinder. It was previously reported that the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max models will support 120Hz refresh rates thanks to Samsung’s new LTPO panels, which can dynamically switch refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz based on content type. This will effectively conserve battery power.
The smartphone should be built on the basis of the Apple A15 single-chip system and run iOS 15. The new smartphones will have support for Wi-Fi 6E technology
The presentation is expected in September.
