THE iPhone 16 was released this Monday (9) by Apple . Among the new features of the new device is the built-in artificial intelligence, which appears to be an essential feature. To achieve this, the company will use Apple Intelligence announced by the brand in June.
New colors will also be available on the device, such as ultramarine, turquoise, pink, white and black. (see above). A new ceramic protective glass will also be added, making the device 50% more resistant than the previous generation and 2x more resistant than other phones.
To this end, Apple announced two device sizes, which follow the pattern of previous models, with 6.1 inches and 6.7”. At the event, the brand also announced the new A18 chip, as well as changes to the side button and cameras.
On the side, the new button will have the function of searching for photos, in addition to capturing records in a more practical way. The main camera will have 48MP, while the second shutter will come with 12MP and with the new device, it will be possible to take spatial photos.
Apple Intelligence
Apple is running several generative models on the phone locally. More intensive tasks use Apple’s “private cloud computing,” which runs on servers Apple built for it.
In addition to improving texts and searches with the help of Siri, it will be possible to create new emojis using artificial intelligence, just by asking for what you want.
The first beta applications will be available in the United States next month. In December, the new features will be available in countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
Apple Intelligence will be included in software updates for older models, completely free of charge. During the event, the company also gave spoilers for iOS 18, which should focus on customization and security features.
The iPhone 16 will start at $799 (around R$4,400). The iPhone 16 Plus will cost R$899 (approximately R$5,021). There is no release date or pricing for Brazil.
This Monday (9), the company also announced new Apple Watch and AirPods models.
