iPhone users resigned to surveillance

It’s been almost a year since Apple introduced iOS 14.5 with App Tracking Transparency, which allows users to choose whether they want their activities to be tracked.

iPhone users resigned to surveillance

Although the number of users opting to let apps track them was small at first, a new study from research firm Adjust shows that some people have changed their minds about the option.

According to Adjust, in May 2021, the percentage of “consent” to tracking was about 16%, now this parameter has increased to 25%.

When it comes to games, the share of “consent” is even higher, with 30% of users allowing developers to collect data for ads. In some cases, popular games have reached 75% agreement.

The statistics are based on an international study of the 2000 most popular apps in the Adjust database.
