IPTO: Historical minimum of debts from electricity suppliers

At just 2.3 million euros at the end of 2021, the due Charges for the Use of the System from electricity suppliers to IPTO were formed, recording a historical minimum for the company.

In particular, as IPTO comments, on the issue of debts from electricity suppliers to the Operators:

– With the actions of the Administrator, the due HFS reached a historical minimum since the establishment of the Company and amounted to only 2.3 million euros at the end of 2021.

– This amount owed is negligible for the size of the Administrator and in no case constitutes uncertainty for both its operation and the market in general.

– With the coordinated actions of IPTO, in collaboration with RAE and RIS, a spectacular further reduction of overdue debts by HFSF was achieved, by 96%, from the end of 2020 to the end of 2021.

– As shown in the table below which shows the evolution of overdue receivables from HFSF to the Administrator from 2013 until today, during the last six years the due HFSs are following a downward trend, recording an overall decrease that currently reaches 98%.

– In the midst of an energy crisis, the Provider’s provision for keeping owed FDI at very low levels minimizes this risk factor in the electricity market.

– In any case, IPTO is in constant consultation and cooperation with the electricity suppliers in order to settle the due System Usage Charges, whenever and if this is deemed necessary.
