Iran: ” Crude sales have risen sharply in the last 10 months ”

Sales of Iranian crude, gas concentrates and petrochemicals have risen dramatically in the past 10 months, the country’s oil minister said, according to Bloomberg.

Addressing lawmakers in Tehran, Javad Owji said Iran’s budget for the year beginning March 21 had taken into account daily oil sales of 1.2 million barrels, the official Shana news agency reported on Sunday.

No further details were given and no exports were reported. Iranian oil exports are subject to US sanctions and China remains Tehran’s only known customer.

World powers are currently trying to revive the 2015 landmark nuclear deal, which had eased sanctions on Iran’s crude exports.

Then-President Donald Trump withdrew the US from the agreement in 2018 and again imposed heavy sanctions on the Iranian economy.
