The actor and director Iran Lima best known for his character Candinho Manso on the program “Escolinha do Professor Raimundo”, died this Sunday (21), aged 88 .
His wife, Lucia Baruffaldi, mourned the loss on social media and paid tribute to the actor: “Today I say goodbye to my partner of 27 years. Now I step back from the position of someone who lived a life by your side, to the position of someone who watches you from afar…”
The wake will take place on Monday (22), starting at 10 am, at the Memorial do Carmo Crematorium, in Caju, downtown Rio de Janeiro. The actor will be cremated at 1 pm.
Iran Lima became famous when he worked with Chico Anysio in the 1970s, taking part in the programs “Chico City” and “Escolinha do Professor Raimundo”. In the latter, he played the character Candinho Manso, who was in love with his wife, unaware that she was cheating on him.
He also worked as a director, having been responsible for directing the program “Os Trapalhões” for a few years.
His last work on TV was a participation in “Milagres de Jesus”, on Record, in 2014.
