Iran – Mahsa Amini: The authorities refuse to give the records of the death of the 22-year-old to her father

“I have not yet been allowed access to the official records of my daughter’s death” reveals the father of Mahsa Amini, her 22-year-old woman who died in police custody in the Iran after she was arrested for violating the country’s Islamic dress code.

“No one is giving me an answer about my daughter’s deathAmzad Amini noted, according to his statements that were cited yesterday, Sunday (9/3) by local media.

“The competent authorities as well as the forensic service do not even allow me to see the files” underlined.

“Instead, they told me that I should be patient,” he continued, as reported by the Athens News Agency.

According to information reported by local media, security forces violently suppressed student demonstrations.

After the protest rally, some professors of the prestigious Sharif University were beaten, the Iranian newspaper Emtedat reported yesterday, Sunday, in its Telegram post.

It was also reported that police and security forces surrounded the campus and shots were fired.

Since the wave of protests that has swept Iran following Amini’s death, students have been protesting at several universities against Iranian authorities. In response, authorities have canceled classes at universities in several cities.

Meanwhile, a report by the Ministry of Interior on the protests was discussed in parliament yesterday. The hardline-dominated legislature concluded that the riots were orchestrated by foreign countries and Iran’s enemies to weaken the Islamic system.

Therefore, the police and armed forces should continue to act against the unrest, the Iranian parliament underlined.
