Iran’s President Massoud Pezheskian has vowed to ensure that the morality police will no longer “harass” women who do not wear the headscarf required in public. The statement was made yesterday on the second anniversary of the death of Mahsa Amini, who died while in custody. “The morality police are not supposed to confront (the women), I will make sure they are not disturbed,” the reformist president said in Tehran during his first press conference since his election in July.
