Talks on reviving the 2015 international agreement on Iran’s nuclear program will resume on Monday (December 27th), two parties to the talks have announced.
“It is usually not popular to do serious work because of Catholic Christmas and New Year,” Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s envoy to the talks, wrote on Twitter today.
“In this case, it is an indication that all negotiators do not want to waste time and aim at the rapid revival of the CIS,” he added, using the acronym for the agreement, the Joint Integrated Action Plan.
The office of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy announced that representatives of China, France, Germany, Russia, Britain and Iran will attend Monday’s meeting.
“The participants will continue talks on the prospect of a possible US return to the CISD and on how to ensure the full and effective implementation of the agreement by all parties,” the statement said.
