An elderly woman was killed and 19 people were injured in the explosion that rocked a three-story building in Tehran today, reports the Iranian ISNA news agency.
The blast, attributed to a gas leak, caused significant material damage to nearby buildings and parked vehicles, said the head of the disaster management agency in the Iranian capital, Ali Nasiri.
A 75-year-old woman was killed and at least 12 people were rescued, while three injured are hospitalized in critical condition.
