Two men were executed by hanging in Iran on the death of a security official during the protests taking place across the country following the death of 22-year-old Iranian-Kurdish Mahsha Amini on 16 September.
As reported by APE-MBE, the two men who were executed they had been convicted of murdering a member of the Basij paramilitary forcethree others have been sentenced to death in the same case, while 11 have received prison terms.
“Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, main perpetrators of the crime that led to the unjust martyrdom of Ruhollah Ajamian were hanged this morning”said a statement by the judiciary carried by the official IRNA news agency.
Four protesters have been executed in connection with the protests.
