Iran has warned Israel about the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East if the country does not cease its aggression against the Palestinians. The Iranian Foreign Minister said that other actors in the region are ready to act, the semi-official Fars news agency said on Sunday (15).
“If the Zionist aggressions do not stop, the hands of all parties in the region are on the trigger,” said Hossein Amirabdollahian.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised on Sunday to “demolish Hamas”, as his army prepares to enter the Gaza Strip in search of members of the radical Islamic group Hamas, whose attacks on Israeli border towns have shocked the world.
“The responsibility for the possible opening of new fronts of resistance in the region, and any escalation of the current war, lies with the United States and the Zionist regime (Israel),” added Amirabdollahian.
He met on Saturday with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Qatar, where they discussed the Palestinian attack on Israel and “agreed to continue cooperation” so that the group’s objectives can be achieved, Hamas said in a statement.
