Iran’s supreme leader accuses Israel of “ethnic cleansing” and warns against escalation in Gaza

The supreme leader of Will Ali Khamenei, said this Tuesday (17) that if the “atrocities” against Gaza Strip persist, “Muslims and resistance forces may lose patience” and no one would be able to stop their actions.

“The world is witnessing the ethnic cleansing carried out by the Zionist regime,” Khamenei said during a speech in Tehran.

The Iranian leader added: “All parties should refrain from asking anyone to stop a group from taking action in response to the crimes of the Zionists.”

Israel has stated that it is promoting efforts to minimize civilian casualties by warning them to leave the northern Gaza Strip, but the total number of deaths reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health is close to 3,000.

A direct link between Iran and the October 7 terrorist attacks, which left 1,400 people dead, has not been established, but both the United States and Israel say Iran is the main partner in the Hamas .

Iran has denied any involvement.
