Iran’s whole airspace opened but only for international overflows – Tehran airports remain closed

Iran today opened all its airspace for foreign airlines passing by it, but flights to many areas, including Tehran, have not yet been repeated on the fifth day of the truce with Israel. Iran’s airspace closed completely on June 13, when Israel launched an unprecedented attack on the country. On Wednesday the flights resumed gradually, but only to the eastern part of Iran. In Tehran, the two airports of the city remain closed. “The airspace in central and western Iran is currently open but only for international overflows,” said Transport Ministry spokesman Majid Ahavan, according to the official IRNA agency. It has not yet been determined when flights across the country will start again. Source: RES
