Ireland’s prime minister promises his support in Ukraine after meeting with President Zelenski

Irish Prime Minister Michich Martin today promised to offer his support to Ukraine, following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski, in a stop he made to Ireland before continuing his journey to Washington, where he is expected to meet with Washington. Following a brief conversation at Shannon Airport, Michich Martin told reporters that he had promised to advocate Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, while implying that his country would participate in a peace conservation mission. “We were very clear that we would put pressure on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union to accelerate,” the Irish leader told reporters, as they described their meeting as “warm”.
