Irish Prime Minister Michel Martin today warned Britain that it would be “very serious” if new legislation came into force to unilaterally change part of the Brexit deal with the EU in a bid to facilitate trade with Northern Ireland, and called on British government to resume talks.
“If this bill enters into force, I believe we will be in a very serious situation,” the Irish prime minister told the BBC, referring to a British bill amending the Northern Ireland Protocol governing post-trade transactions. Brexit.
